In 2016 Frank Clark appointed to the rank of Chevalier in the odre National de la Legion d’Honneur for his service during the Second World War in the Recce Troop of the 2nd Battalion, the Grenadier Guards. After the war, Frank served during the Malayan Emergency and was awarded the Pingat Jasa Malaysia by the King and Government of Malayia. The Emergency lasted from 1948 to 1960.
